Elizabeth Brookens-Sturman, her husband John, and their two daughters have lived in Brambleton, VA since August, 2005. Elizabeth was ordained as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 1996. She has served churches in Berkeley, CA and Bethlehem, PA and has also filled a variety of other ministry roles here in the United States and overseas. Besides Brambleton Presbyterian Church Elizabeth loves spending time with her family. They like to travel, spend time with good friends, ski, hike, watch Ceci play soccer and Lucy dance.
A message from Elizabeth: "I am excited about how fast Brambleton Presbyterian Church is growing. We began worshipping on Christmas Eve 2005. We were not quite sure what the future would hold, but having faith that this is the right church for this community we began our journey to build a brand new church here in Loudoun County! In just five years we have become close friends, celebrating life’s joys and weathering some storms together as well. We have also shown tremendous capacity to care for people in the the world who are much less fortunate than us. (I hope you will check our mission page to see what we have be able to accomplish.) Most important, we have been on a spiritual journey learning what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If you have not had a chance to do so I hope you will join us for worship soon. It is my prayer you will find that this is the church for you as well!"
