Elliott Powell was ordained as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in October, 2007 and serves Brambleton Presbyterian Church as its Associate Organizing Pastor. A professional musician, Elliott served Brambleton Presbyterian Church as its Emergent Worship Director from the church’s launch in 2005 before making the transition to pastoral ministry. In his family, he is a fourth generation pastor.
Prior to Brambleton, he served on the youth staff of La Canada Presbyterian Church in Southern California and as the Emergent Worship Director of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He has also ministered overseas with Pathfinders, China.
Elliott is married to Shannon Powell, who is a guidance counselor at Briar Woods High School and active in the leadership of Brambleton Presbyterian’s youth group and Vision Team.
Apart from ministry and spending time with Shannon, Elliott enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (in which he holds a brown belt), composing and performing music, traveling and cinema.
