Teens Opposing Poverty Youth Service Project

Teens Opposing Poverty Youth Service Project!

What: As part of our Teens Opposing Poverty partnership in Berryville, we will serve the elderly/disabled community there a hot ‘Oktoberfest’ lunch which the adults on the youth team will prepare and the youth will serve. We will also donate canned/boxed food items for them. While the community is grateful for almost anything, we might follow up with a signup genius separately to focus on some of their specific needs. If we do, we ask that you please sign up to bring some of the items on the list.  It would be ideal if you could involve your child with you when purchasing the items.  Also, if you are not able to attend, we’d still welcome your donations which you can drop off at Legacy Sunday morning before the church service.

Where: Berryville – 301 Josephine Street

When: Sunday October 28

Departure Time:  11:30 from Legacy following the church service

Return Time: Around 2 or 2:30.  We’ll text parents when we leave Berryville

The kids who are attending need to bring 1) a bagged lunch which we’ll eat right after the service at Legacy before we head to Berryville  2) their canned items which they can sign up for in the Sign Up Genius  3) a signed Transportation permission form (if they hyperlink doesn’t work they can be found here (http://www.brambletonchurch.org/youth-ministries).

Please RSVP and let us know if your child is attending so we can make sure we have enough drivers.  Also, if you are willing to come with us and drive/chaperone, please let us know that too!  Please RSVP to Lewis at lewi211@yahoo.com.

As always, thanks for your support!  We are excited to continue this service opportunity with the youth where - they can make a difference!!
