Worship Experience

The Season of Epiphany lasts until Lent (Ash Wednesday, 2/18). During this season of Epiphany let’s ask: What epiphanies might you hope to make about our faith? Where are you beginning this Season of Epiphany – and where would you like to arrive? With help from the Gospel and the Apostle Paul – let’s take the journey together, sharing what we find in the beautiful epiphany story of our faith in Christ.

Our names are important. They identify and mark us. Our names tell the world who we are and who we’re not. There is one name which is most important to us as Christians - Jesus – who is of course the one whose birth we prepare once again to celebrate on Christmas. This Advent, we will look at each of these names, week by week, and discover just how perfectly named Jesus is – and how good and different and fulfilling life can be when we are identified by His name.

Autumn is here! This is clear from the bright-colored leaves on the trees as we walk in the cool, crisp breeze. Every change of season comes with opportunities to stop and breathe, reflect, and pray and say: “Thank you, God, for your generous blessings!” Perhaps this is most true in autumn as it includes the Thanksgiving holiday. This November, we at BPC are invited to give God thanks EVERY DAY - and in many ways - for the great blessing of being called together as a church.

Gaps are spaces which cause separation, and they may form just about anywhere and in a variety of ways. There are physical gaps between objects and places; proverbial gaps in communications and between generations; gaps in time (just hopefully not in the space time continuum. Great Scott!). No matter the circumstance, though, one thing is certain for followers of Jesus Christ: What we do in the gap matters. How we react and interact with others matters.

BPC is starting a new season and with it, a new sermon series – God's With Us Through The Changes. Each week, we will emphasize God's faithful accompaniment through the changes of life while integrating deep engagement with Scripture.
